Miriah Royal’s (she/her) passion for supporting communities can be traced back to her pre-professional days.  Whether participating in service learning events or collaborating to build intentional programming, Miriah believes the work of social justice is truly about all humans.  Her perspectives use a foundation of curiosity, courage, and a bit of adventure,  to inspire others.  She is always asking, “Is this authentic for this community? Can we lean into a growth mindset? How can we all contribute to our community? Where are the equitable practices, justice, and love?”

Miriah currently works at St. Anne’s Episcopal School as the Director of Community Belonging & Engagement and spent two years at Colorado Academy as part of the Office of Inclusivity and Admissions.  Before working in the independent school world, she worked at Bucknell University, supporting the areas of LGBTQ Resources, Multicultural student services, International Student Services, Women’s Resource  Center, and Religious & Spiritual Life.

In her free time, Miriah finds a variety of volunteer opportunities, such as being a faculty member of the S.T.A.M.P conference, the founder of Embolden Ventures, a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion consulting company, and an Executive Team member of the Colorado Diversity Network. She also plans epic outdoor adventures with her two children.
